Kitchen under-sink water filter often used for well water in rural areas where water is contaminated with agricultural nitrate runoff. However, is a great filter for a municipal system if you are interested in further reducing nitrates and filtering chemical and organic contaminants. The risk from nitrites is from drinking.
REMOVES NITRATES. Removes heavy metals like lead; hydrogen sulfide, hormones, pharmaceuticals, sediment, algae, molds, scale, chlorine, bad taste, odors and hundreds of contaminants with a combination of the highest quality copper-zinc kdf and granulated coconut carbon filtering. Bacteria cannot grow in the carbon because of copper-zinc.
This filter has a new housing that has been tested to handle water pressure 33.3% higher than the industry-standard white under sink filter housings. These can take up to 100 psi.
This customer contacted us a few months after purchasing one of these filters.
“Hi. my name is Julie Mitchell and recently I ordered a filter system from you because I have nitrates in my well. I wanted to tell you: Thank you so much! I had the water tested and it came back as no trace of nitrates in the well water out of my tap. I am going to recommend your system to the other houses who get water off the same well.”
These filters have the best and the most filter material so that your filter does more and lasts longer.
AJ from Wisconsin emailed us this: “I just wanted to let you know – I received water test results from the state lab today, and your nitrate filter removed ALL the nitrates from our water.” Was 10 ppm, now 0!”
Comes with nitrate and standard KR101N cartridges. Change filters once a year in most circumstances.
To see a list of contaminants removed in addition to nitrites, see What Is Filtered?
Has a faucet that runs through the opening in your sink. You have the choice to upgrade the faucet and we recommend that you do. The upgraded faucets add about half the list price. They look better, work better and last longer.
The best-of-all-worlds filtering – take out the bad, leave healthy trace elements.
