CBC News shared that “Canada is the second-largest water consumer in the world after the United States. Each Canadian uses about 350 litres of water a day, compared to a European who uses about 150 litres.”
Currently, Vancouver residents are experiencing “the harshest water restrictions imposed in 12 years”, which include a complete ban on watering lawns, washing vehicles, and pressure washing.
Residents used to the lush-green city of Vancouver, are starting to compare their drought to Californian’s.
Whether or not you’re in a state that’s experiencing a drought, it looks like we all need to be mindful about our water use.
