Because books are important venues for knowledge, preserving wisdom, and inspiring others to make changes in their lives and the world around them, Evergreen Book Medals is a program that commemorates world-changing books since the year 2000. Since then, its goal has been to recognize such authors whose focus has been on sharing healthier and more fulfilling ways of living on this earth.
According to Independent Publisher, the book finalists are divided into five categories, and honored for their contributions to positive global change. You can view the Living Now Evergreen Book medalists for 2015 here.
A special author from Northern California, who is a friend of friendsofwater.com, won the silver metal in the nature conservation category, for a book called, Sharing Nature: Nature Awareness Activities for All Ages,by Joseph Cornell (Crystal Clarity Publishers). Congratulations, and thank you to each author who continues to spread the message of living harmoniously with nature and its resources.
