AT 5 YEARS, REPLACE YOUR UNDERCOUNTER (under-sink) KITCHEN FILTER SUMP OR SUMPS AT VERY LOW COST.  ORDER ONE SUMP FOR EACH CANISTER YOU HAVE.  Each sump includes a new canister O-ring.

Upgrade from your white sumps to these stronger ones.  REPLACE NEW SUMPS every 5 years.

Countertop filters don’t need this.  Just get new O-rings every six years.  (click link)

A few years ago a new undercounter housing was introduced that is far more sturdy than the industry standard.  Previously, the under-sink housings were white.  The newer improved housing is a purple-tinted clear.

The warranty on the housings is pro-rated 5 years.  To avoid cracks or leaks, replace the sump at 5 years for Undercounter (under-sink) kitchen filters.

To swap in the improved sumps, just change filters cartridges as you always have.  But instead of putting the older sump(s) back on, use the new one(s).
