California faced disastrous wild fires and drought last month, and now seven states on the southeast coast are experiencing disastrous flooding and rainfall that wiped out many homes and lives.
Millions of gallons of water continue to flow downstream rivers in South Carolina, where a major dam broke and leaked over entire towns. According to this article, “President Barack Obama signed a disaster declaration for the state of South Carolina, ordering federal aid to supplement state, tribal and local recovery efforts.”
