About Chlorine
Chlorine serves an important purpose in the treatment of water supplies. It is a powerful disinfectant, added to the drinking water supplies to kill dangerous organic compounds. These are organics we don't want to be taking in.
That does not mean, however, that it is also best to leave it in the water for us to absorb and inhale.
Chlorine is readily released as fumes when you shower with the result that you are inhaling it while you take that shower. And the skin readily absorbs it through both the air and the water. For those who prefer to avoid taking in this chlorine, bath ball and shower filters will remove it before you bathe or shower.

PINK TurboShower Filters Remove 99% of Chlorine
The kdf filter material in the Pink TurboShowers is made by a patented process owned by our manufacturing partner. The process, using powdered copper and zinc, makes the kdf Power Disks inside several times more effective than even kdf shower filters that do not use this process.
The result is virtual elimination of chlorine. With normal municipality-supplied water, these Pink TurboShowers will remove 95 to 99% of chlorine before the water reaches you in your shower. So you and your loved ones can know that chlorine has been removed from your shower water and air.
You only need to replace the PowerDisk Filter inside your Pink TurboShower once a year. We recommend that you also purchase a box of cotton pads that remove sediment, and a specially-sized plastic wrench making it easier to open the TurboShower to swap out filters. A box of 10 cotton pads and a wrench cost a total of $11.00.
The copper-zinc kdf Power Disk water filters, the filter in the Pink Shower Filter, also remove aluminum, mercury, sulfur, and lime scale among many other inorganic compounds.
The kdf filters are recyclable.

Pink Bath Ball Removes up to 99% of Chlorine from Bath Water
The Pink Bath Ball uses the same PowerDisk kdf filter in the Pink Turbo Shower, and with the same results: Chlorine is effectively removed from your bath water. In normal conditions with municipal water, up to 99% of chlorine will be removed.
You will enjoy knowing you and your family are bathing in pure healthy water. We certainly have enjoyed not having the strong smell of chlorine every time you walk into the bathroom. (Which also means you are inhaling it the fumes.)
Please note that through shipping, some copper-zinc powder sometimes loosens in new bath balls. If this happens, it won't last long. You can soak and rinse them to clear it more quickly. But this won't cause harm to bathers, and is far preferable to cholorine.

Pink Bath & Shower Filters Help Keep You Healthy for a Long Time
The kdf PowerDisk water filters inside the Pink TurboShower Filter and the Pink Bath Ball filter are the most efficient, longest lasting, and lowest maintenance water filter media available. The PowerDisks work best because the copper-zinc alloy has no pores that plug up, has no membranes to replace, and remains bacteriostatic (bacteria can't breed).
You should swap out the water filter disk from the Pink housing once a year. The water filter media is non-hazardous, non-corrosive and is recyclable.
The copper-zinc alloy that the water filter is made from stops the calcium and magnesium from forming hard scale, adhering to your plumbing and fixtures - which builds over time and slows flow and pressure. This also stops them from building up in your shower and tub. Interestingly, calcium and magnesium are not eliminated, rather they remain soluble in the water, which is natural and healthful.
The zinc and copper trace minerals left in your shower and bath water are defined as food supplements and nutrients by the Food and Drug Administration.
There is no maintenance required for the kdf copper-zinc filter, just swap it out once a year. There are cotton sediment filters you may need to change more often in the TurboShower. Kdf filters require plastic housing, since metal would intefere with the filtering. The housing is NOT PVC, and chlorine is not releases into your water.
