These filtering straws deliver extremely high removal rates of virtually all the contaminants you might need them for. The filtration method they use was designed for use around the world, and is in use in many countries where water supplies are hazardous.
These filters have been tested multiple times all over the world, including at the Los Angeles County labs, using EPA and ANSI protocols and NSF Standards. These are the most effective filtering straws that we can find.
We have seen other straw filters that sell for $49.95 each.
And there are some that sell for under $10 each.
We haven't seen anything that indicates the expensive options provide better filtration than these. And the cheaper ones seem to just use carbon, which is a good filter material but will not deliver the many types of thorough filtration that these straws do.
The only way in which these straws don't compare as well that we can find - is that they last for about 25 gallons of use. Some others last longer. But if safe water is your concern, and the price for these is almost as low as the cheapest ones,
